Heeey guys!

long time... Lets just say my last days in Fiji weren't that pleasant! New years eve was a disaster, without going into details... and Geraldine dropped my camera in the ocean while we were snorkeling in Nananu-i-ra island! so thats why... no pix these last days! but thanks to my lovely dad i could buy a new one!! thanksssssssssssssss (the newer version and waaay cheaper here in aussie!)

anyways, i have arrived safely in brisbane where Hans (an old friend from artschool) that i didnt see for 6 years came to pick me up from the airport! it was so great to see him! we talked for hours to catch up and was telling me he is about to ask his girlfiend to marry him tomorrow on his birthday :)

well let me maybe first explain where exactly i am staying and what Hans is doing in australia... Im staying in a bible school where people from all over the world come to be missionaries and go on outreach to other countries like thailand, india, japan to help people in schools and orphanages. Hans goes to school there but also works on the base! he want to become a missionary. its really interesting, as i was never raised with a religion, to see how they live and think... So on sunday evening i went to church with them to see how that works :)

Its a little different then what i thought, as Hans goes to a very layed back church, with a priest in shorts, people laying or sitting on the floor on in a couch if they are more comfortable like that and a band with drums and guitars singing cool songs about god... and after that a BBQ for everyone! again a thing i can scribble off my to do before i die list :)

On monday morning Hans and i went to get Charlotte, my friend from belgium from the airport! im so happy she's here!!! She's going to travel around australia with me and its nice to have some company from back home!

Today we went into brisbane city! such a nice city!! we woke up very early this morning because of jetlags and came here at 8Am so we got some coffee in starbucks and walked around town... did some shopping (feels good when uve havent been in a civilised country for a while!) and when to a kind of mall with food from all over the world in one place!! yep def. something i like!!! so we ate till we dropped and then treated ourselves to a little relaxing pedicure!

thursday we're off to the Gold coast!! Surfers paradise to have some beach time! and then further down to Byron Bay, known as a hippie town with great beaches and a place where Ben harper likes to surf the waves :)
